Hope struck early and often in the first half. Warren nearly opened the scoring inside five minutes when Jacarlos Marquez fired a shot just over the crossbar. But the Bobcats immediately responded on a counterattack, converting their first shot on target to go ahead 1-0.
Minutes later, Hope doubled their lead with a low cross from the right wing that was calmly finished inside the box, putting the Lumberjacks in a 2-0 hole. Warren nearly answered midway through the half when Daniel Castillo broke through the defense with a clear chance on goal, but a decisive run and clearance by Hope’s keeper kept the Lumberjacks off the board.
Castillo continued to battle, coming close again later in the half, only to be denied once more by a standout save.
Hope’s momentum carried on as they chipped a lofted shot over Warren keeper Jessie Cortes to make it 3-0. The Bobcats then added a fourth goal in the 33rd minute to cap off a dominant first half.
Despite a more stable second half and improved defensive play from Warren, the early deficit proved too much to overcome. Neither team found the net after the break.
The 4-0 final marks the end of the season for the Lumberjacks, who reached the state playoffs and showed promise throughout the year.
