Laverne Evans Laster age 85, of Warren, AR passed away Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was born November 27th, 1939, in Gravelridge, AR, a daughter of the late Henry Evans and Ruthie Byrd Evans. She was retired from Jack Winter in Warren, AR and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Robert “Bob” Laster whom she married on November 26th, 1970, and he passed away on April 9th, 2022; brother, Curtis Evans and sisters, Racheal Johnson, Dorothy Forrest and Audrey Stewart.
Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Schwebel and spouse Don of Warren, AR and Laurie Laster of McGehee, AR; four grandchildren, Kelsi King and spouse Dakota, Lauren Williams and spouse Jonathan, Jeffery Cathey and spouse Holly and Joey Cathey and spouse Cassidy all of Warren, AR; several great-grandchildren and sister, Christine Carpenter of Warren, AR.
Graveside service was 10:00 AM Friday, June 6th at Oakland Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Ebert officiating. The burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Stephen Hammock, Mike Ashcraft, Trey McClain, Edgar Urbina, Jacob Bishop, Charles Pierce and Cody Cheshire and honorary pallbearers were Henry Thomas and Dakota King.
