MONTICELLO, Ark. – Families with young children are invited to a fun and educational event at the Monticello Branch Library on Saturday, June 28 at 11:00 a.m. as part of the Read to Succeed Initiative, a program created by Arkansas PBS to promote early literacy across the state.
This free event, designed for families with children from birth through second grade, will feature a reading of the children’s book Potato Pants by Laurie Keller, led by local Early Childhood Lead Jessica Griffin. In addition to story time, attendees will enjoy a free meal, family-friendly activities, and take-home resources—including a free book.
Families must register by June 26 to attend. Parents or guardians must remain present with their children at all times to ensure a safe and engaging experience for everyone involved.
Community members or businesses interested in supporting the event are encouraged to contact Jessica Griffin at 870-308-5221 for more information.
