Scam Alert: District Judge Warns of Fraudulent Text Messages Targeting Residents

WARREN, Ark. – District Judge Bruce Anderson has issued a public warning following reports that individuals in the area have received fraudulent text messages claiming they owe unpaid fines.

According to Judge Anderson, several people have contacted the District Court office after receiving text messages stating that their driver’s license will be suspended unless they pay fines through a link included in the message. These messages are scams.

Judge Anderson clarified that any legitimate communication regarding a person’s driver’s license status will be sent by letter—not by text message.

Residents are urged not to send money or click on any links provided in suspicious texts. Anyone with questions about a ticket or fines should contact the District Court office directly for accurate information.
