WARREN, Ark. – Warren has long been known for producing powerhouse athletes on the football field—but the Lumberjacks are growing more than just champions in cleats. This year, the spotlight shines on senior Paige Byrd, who has officially earned her place on the University of Arkansas Razorback cheerleading squad.
A lifelong dream turned reality, Paige’s achievement marks a moment of pride not only for her but for the entire Warren community. Her dedication, spirit, and perseverance stood out among hundreds of hopefuls during the highly competitive tryouts in Fayetteville.
What makes her journey even more special is this full-circle moment: Paige got her start as a cheer and tumbling coach at the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA in Warren. Now, she’ll be cheering on Saturdays at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. How cool is that? The same name, two different arenas—but the same heart and hustle that got her there.
Paige will also graduate this spring as Valedictorian of the Warren High School Class of 2025, holding a 4.0 GPA. Throughout her high school career, she has exemplified what it means to be a well-rounded student-athlete—balancing AP coursework, varsity cheerleading, and track, while also mentoring young athletes through local youth programs.
From pep rallies in the gym to game days on the Hill, Paige is ready to bring her Lumberjack pride to Razorback Nation. And although she’ll be wearing the cardinal red and white, her heart will always bleed orange and black.
Her story is a reminder to young girls across South Arkansas: with grit, grace, and a heart full of determination, you can turn your biggest dreams into your greatest victories.
