Education and Health Fair Helps Local Families Gear Up for New School Year

WARREN, Ark. – Families across Bradley County gathered at the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA Saturday for the “Cruisin’ Into a New School Year” Education & Health Fair, an event that proved to be a major success for local students and parents preparing for the upcoming academic year.

Hosted by Bradley County Parent Voice, the fair brought together a wide range of organizations to provide free resources, educational materials, and school supplies. The event was held in partnership with the Warren School District, ChildCare Aware of Central and Southwest Arkansas, the University of Arkansas’s Early Care & Education Projects, Local Early Childhood Lead (serving Ashley, Bradley, and Drew Counties), and several other community-focused groups.

Booths were set up throughout the YMCA featuring informational materials and giveaways, with volunteers and professionals offering guidance on everything from early childhood development to health and safety tips. Local students were seen filling their backpacks with supplies and interacting with various exhibitors as families explored the offerings.

Organizers and partners hope the fair helped remove some of the financial and logistical burdens that come with preparing for a new school year while also connecting families with vital community resources.
