Bradley County Lifts Burn Ban Following Recent Rainfall

WARREN, Ark. – The Bradley County Judge’s office announced Friday that the countywide burn ban has been lifted, following a stretch of rainfall that eased dry conditions which had persisted since mid-August.

The ban had been in place earlier this month when hot and dry weather created hazardous conditions for outdoor burning. Recent showers have since reduced the fire danger across the county, prompting officials to remove the restriction.

While outdoor burning is once again permitted, the Judge’s office encourages residents to continue exercising caution. Safe burning practices include monitoring fires closely, avoiding burning on windy days, and keeping water sources nearby.

The change comes as a welcome relief after the county endured an extended dry spell in early and mid-August, when fire risks were high across South Arkansas.
