Coach Bo Hembree Discusses Upcoming Season at Warren Rotary Club

Rotarian Bob Milton and Warren Head Football Coach Bo Hembree

The Rotary Club of Warren met Tuesday, Aug. 12 inside the Fellowship Hall at First Methodist Church for its first meeting of August. Rotarian Bob Milton introduced his program of Warren High School Head Football Coach Bo Hembree. Coach Hembree began by recapping the summer’s 7-on-7 schedule and spoke about how they could look really good on some days and really bad on others. He’s hoping there will be some more consistency evolve as the season approaches. He said they have 42 players on this year’s team with 19 seniors. However, the squad is inexperienced with only three starters returning on offense. The team struggled with injuries last season and he’s hoping they are able to stay healthy this year. Coach Hembree also stated that the defense is ahead of the offense right now. He continued by going over the schedule that starts with a Benefit Game against McGehee at home on Friday, Aug. 22 with the regular season starting on Friday, Aug. 29 against Greenbrier at home. Coach Hembree said this year’s conference is as deep as he’s seen since he’s been at Warren and said DeWitt, Monticello, Hamburg, and Stuttgart have a lot of returning players. He finished the program by answering a few questions from the crowd.
