Old State House Museum will open Jack Hill exhibit

Little Rock – From 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, the Old State House Museum will hold the opening of the new exhibit, Reporting for Arkansas: The Documentary Films of Jack Hill. The exhibit will explore Jack Hill’s career and his work bringing Arkansas history to life through his documentaries and storytelling.

Hill was a pioneering Arkansas documentary filmmaker dedicated to sharing his state’s history with a wider public. Following a decade as an award-winning investigative journalist and news anchor at KAIT in Jonesboro, he founded the production company, TeleVision for Arkansas, through which he produced dozens of original films. Although Hill had an abiding interest in education and public health, he found his true calling in topics based in Arkansas history.

The exhibit, which will run through September 27, 2026, is free to attend. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, email info@oldstatehouse.com.
