Judge Laurie Bridewell announced today that she will seek a second term as 10th Judicial Circuit Judge, 2nd Division, covering all of Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Desha, and Drew counties. Judge Bridewell was first sworn in on January 1, 2021 and hears all cases involving divorce, custody, visitation and domestic abuse, as well as a large percentage of guardianship cases, adoptions, estate and probate cases, and some civil cases and other matters. Judge Bridewell says she hopes to continue her practice begun in her first term focusing on better resolutions to high conflict domestic relations matters and trying to solve problems standing in the way of children having healthy parents. Judge Bridewell believes she has also delivered on a campaign promise for more timely hearings, responsive scheduling and better communication between the Court and lawyers and self-represented litigants. Judge Bridewell and her great staff try hard to continue to make a difference for families and children in South Arkansas. She hopes people will agree and vote to re-elect her as their circuit judge at the general election March 3, 2026.
