BCMC is proud to announce that Radiology Director Deedre Pierce has been named the hospital’s Employee of the Month for September.
Her nomination stated: “Deedre Pierce, Director of Radiology, is an excellent nomination for employee of the month. She is exceptional in her role and exemplifies leadership, dedication, and innovation. Deedre consistently takes initiative by identifying opportunities for improvement and acts on them without hesitation. Recently, Deedre and her department made headlines by being one of the first in the state to start performing diagnostic breast imaging via tele-radiology. It was because of Deedre’s effective feedback and strategic thinking that BCMC was picked as a pilot site for this initiative which allows us to keep these healthcare services available in our rural hospital.
Deedre fosters a collaborative team environment by encouraging input, listening and continually looking for opportunities to improve. She promotes department involvement in not only hospital projects but also community outreach. She is compassionate and advocates for both staff and patients.
These are only but just a few of the many reasons that Deedre deserves the title and she definitely embodies the BCMC mission to provide superior care to every patient every time.”
