Edna Faye Taylor, age 90, of Warren passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on August 30, 2025 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. She was born on January 7th, 1935 to the late Clifton H. Rodgers and Irene Isbell Rodgers of Rye, AR. She attended Woodlawn High School where she met the love of her life, John Wayne Taylor whom she married on December 29th, 1951. She worked forSouthwestern Bell as an operator, cashier at the Mad Butcher, a teller at Warren Bank and Trust, and finally a representative at the Arkansas Department of Human Services until her retirement. But her true calling was a wife, mother, and homemaker. Edna Faye was an active member of Central Missionary Baptist Church in Warren. She was a strong woman of faith who trusted her Lord and Savior through all of life’s upsand downs. She was a role model for her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren who was never bashful about professing her faith.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne Taylor, who passed away on November 10th, 1999 and granddaughter, Heather Michelle Taylor, who passed away on February 21st, 2012.
She is survived by two sons, David Taylor and spouse Laurie of Magnolia, AR, and Ronny Joe Taylor and spouse Leslie of Monticello; a brother, Bobby Joe Rodgers and spouse Cherry of Little Rock, AR; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy Taylor, William Taylor (Lacy), Bridgette Taylor, Bailey Jo Taylor (Noah), Johnathan Taylor, and Brimlee Taylor; 4 great-grandchildren, Carson, Mason, Jackson, and Kalijah. In addition, she was loved by four step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren who also called her “Granny”.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4th at Frazer’s Funeral Home, Warren, AR with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Graveside service will follow at Enon Cemetery located by Enon Missionary Baptist Church in Rye, AR.
