WARREN, Ark. — The Friends of the Library have announced several community events this fall, beginning with Friends of the Library Week, set for Oct. 20–24. Daily drawings during the week will feature prizes such as books, book bags, coffee mugs, gifts, and gift certificates from local businesses valued up to $25.

A large book sale will run throughout the week and coincide with an Open House on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Warren Branch Library, where refreshments will be served. Registration for the drawings is open now through Oct. 24 at noon at the library.

The Friends group reports they’ve been active this fall, giving away around 1,000 books at two local fairs. Looking ahead, Craig O’Neill is scheduled to read The Grinch at the Warren Library on Monday, Dec. 2, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with refreshments provided. The group also plans to launch a book club and begin offering college scholarships in 2026.

Friends of the Library meetings are held the last Thursday of each month (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas) at 11:30 a.m. at the Warren Library.
