MONTICELLO, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) has released the 2025 UAM Homecoming Week schedule. Homecoming events will take place from September 29-October 4.
On October 2, the UAM Department of Athletics will host its annual UAM Sports Hall of Fame Banquet. During the banquet, Braden Chambers, Felicia Crowe, Scott Howell, Von Mixon, Jr., the late Harold Tilley and 2025 Spirit Award Winner Jimmy Sledge will be inducted into the UAM Sports Hall of Fame. On October 3, the UAM Alumni Association will host the A&M/UAM Alumni and Friends Lawn Party for the recipients of the 2025 A&M/UAM Alumni Awards. Ten alumni will be recognized in categories including the Achievement and Merit Award, the Continuing the Connection Award and the Young Rising Star Award. Award recipients for 2025 will include Brad Bailey, Jerry L. Bingham, Sr., Bill and Mary Ellen Givens, Classie Jones Green, Joseph “Joe” Kelnhofer, Dr. Whitney McGregor, Jody Pagan, Charlie Searcy and Dr. Donnell White, III.
On October 4, the A&M/UAM African-American Alumni Association will hold its annual reunion breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Contact Classie Jones Green at 870-556-0527 for additional information and to purchase tickets.
Homecoming tailgating parties will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on October 4 on Tailgate Row, adjacent to Weevil Pond. The Weevil Walk of Champions and Homecoming Parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. The coronation of the 2025 UAM Homecoming Queen will be held at 1:30 p.m., and UAM Football will kick off against Southern Nazarene University at 2 p.m. at the Willis “Convoy” Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium. During the game, UAM Cheer and the UAM “Pride of Southeast Arkansas” Marching Band will perform.
