Warren tennis sweeps Crossett in ranked matches

Bayleigh Miller in action for Warren.

WARREN, Ark. – The Warren High School tennis team put together a strong performance on the road Tuesday, defeating Crossett and winning every ranked match.

Presley Reep won her singles match 6-0, while Bayleigh Miller claimed a 6-3 victory. In doubles play, the pair of Anna Arroyo and Ava Denton earned a dominant 6-0 win, and teammates Livi McKinney and Avery Wharton followed suit with a 6-0 result. McKinney also added a 6-0 singles win to cap off the night.

Head coach Micah Richey said the team also secured several exhibition wins in addition to their ranked success.

The Saline River Player of the Match was awarded to freshman Bayleigh Miller. Coach Richey noted that Miller faced a skilled Crossett opponent and excelled at finishing points quickly rather than letting rallies drag on. He also praised her dedication, highlighting the extra work she puts in daily to improve her game.

“Her hard work does not go unnoticed,” Richey said. “Good job Bayleigh!”
