Barbara Knight Bowden age 80, of New Edinburg, AR died Saturday, October 18th in White Hall, AR. She was born Friday, August 17th 1945 in Stuttgart, AR a daughter of the late Harlan Jesse Knight and Ruby Wolfe Knight. Barbara was employed with Piggly Wiggly Grocery Stores, working in the meat department, she shared her love of her church, her church family and her friends. She enjoyed planting flowers, her dog, loved to cook meals and clean. She was a member of the Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church and the widow of Charles A. Bowden whom she married December 14th, 1962 and Charles passed away November 16th, 2013. Also preceding her in death were brothers Harlen “Buster” Knight and Billy Knight.
Survivors include a son, Charlie Bowden and spouse Tammi, Foulk, AR. A daughter Debbie Gavin, Redfield, AR. A sister Betty McNeill, White Hall, AR. 8 grandchildren, Jessie Paradise and spouse Matthew, Asheley Murry and spouse, Wyatt, Caleb Bowden, Lydia Bowden, Bethany Bowden, Josiah Bowden, Tobias Bowden and Meridith Bowden. 5 great-grandchildren.Church services 11:00AM Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dewayne Ashcraft officiating. Burial Reaves Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation 10:00AM till service time on Wednesday at Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
