Jo Ann Gavin, 1942-2025

Jo Ann Gavin, 83 of Star City passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025. She was born March 3, 1942 in Warren, Arkansas to the late, Henry David and Clara Swain Milburn. She was a homemaker, who loved dancing and socializing, and was a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her companion of 25 years, Rodney Henley of Star City, one son, Ray Gavin (Tonya) of Pansy, one daughter, Robin Bray (Jimmy) of Hampton, two brothers, James Earl Dees and Jake Milburn both of Hermitage and a sister, Eileen Leary of Florida. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Charlye Redmond (Melinda), Madelyn Clark (Jeremiah), Hannah Black (Grant), Tyler Gavin, Olivia Gavin and three great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be Monday, October 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Prosperity Cemetery at Pansy with Bro. Trenton Eubanks officiating. There will be a visitation at the Prosperity United Methodist Church Pansy, Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Labon Hood, Jeremiah Clark, Tyler Gavin, Gary Aaron, Clay Wynn, and Johnny Henley. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City, online guestbook, www.griffinfuneralservice.net
