Pat Johnston Hunter, age 82, succumbed to complications of dementia and died peacefully surrounded by her three daughters
in Little Rock, AR on October 14, 2025. Pat, one of six children of Floyd and Beatrice Greenwood Johnston, was born in Bradley
County and raised on their family farm outside of Warren. She married her high school sweetheart, James Hunter, son of Grady
and Doris Dearman Hunter, on April 8, 1961. James made a career working for Fred’s Discount Store while Pat worked in the
home, raising their three daughters, Lydia (Scott) of Arlington, TN, Nancy (Gordon) of Little Rock, and Melissa (Brooks) of Conway. Pat enjoyed many creative hobbies throughout her life, including quilting, growing her “babies” (flowers and plants), and singing in the choir at Immanuel Baptist Church of Warren where she also volunteered in the kitchen and with the children’s ministry for many years. Pat was “mom” to her daughters, “G-ma” to her grandchildren, and the fun “Aunt Pat” to her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and one sister; she is survived by her three sisters, three daughters, and nine grandchildren, Dallas, Hannah, Erin, Julia (Garrett), Hunter, Eli, Avery, Claire, and Georgia.
A celebration of her life will be held at Frazer’s Funeral Home this Friday, October 17 th , 2025 at 2:00PM. Visitation will be 1:00PM till service time Friday, October 17 th at Frazer’s Chapel of the Chimes. Burial in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
