SEACBEC Students Build Pergola for Bradley County Chamber of Commerce

WARREN, Ark. – Southeast Arkansas Community Based Education Center (SEACBEC) Construction students recently completed a hands-on community project by designing, preassembling, and installing a new pergola for the Bradley County Chamber of Commerce in downtown Warren.

The project, led by instructor Jeremy Groves, gave students the opportunity to put their construction skills into practice while contributing something lasting to their community. After weeks of preparation and shop work, several students assembled the structure downtown just in time for the Warren Homecoming Parade and the city’s upcoming fall festivities.

“We’re so proud of their craftsmanship and the positive impact they’re making in our community,” SEACBEC shared in a post. The program expressed hope that the pergola will bring joy to local residents and visitors alike for years to come.

The project was coordinated by Nancy Arnold and supported by Mitchell Lumber and Hardware.
