The Delta Justice Center and the Veterans Legal Services Clinic at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law will again partner to host a legal clinic for veterans. This free event will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the VFW in Monticello (148 Veterans Drive, Monticello, AR 71655).
This clinic will offer free consultations on VA disability appeals and discharge upgrades. Other legal issues will be considered on a referral basis. Veterans from the surrounding areas are welcome and invited to attend.
Partners for this clinic include the Delta Justice Center, UALR William H. Bowen School of Law Veterans Legal Services Clinic, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4515. Attorneys who would like to volunteer can contact Attorney Tabitha Lee for more information.
This is a continuation of the successful clinic that was held in July 2025. A total of 5 volunteer attorneys provided free legal advice to 15 people including 12 veterans from Monticello, Wilmar, Pine Bluff, and Hamburg. The majority of case consultations involved VA disability claims, while other issues included family law, estate planning, and criminal record sealing. The veterans who attended have served a combined 103 years to the United States of America.
“I, as the Commander of the VFW, appreciate all that’s being done for both veterans and non-veterans,” says Commander Keith Banks. “and I hope the next event will be even better.”
Clinic attorneys will see walk-ins on a first come first served basis. Please bring any relevant documentation about your legal issue to the clinic.
