During the educational session, instructor Jessica Green introduced students to the basics of botanical medicine, demonstrating how common herbs were historically prepared to treat minor ailments. Participants put the lesson into practice by using mullein and calendula to create homemade cough syrup and a vapor rub.

The group also enjoyed a celebration marking a 14th birthday.
