WARREN, Ark. — The Warren Junior Lumberjacks capped off a dominant week by winning the championship on Saturday, November 15, defeating Drew Central Junior High 57–35 behind high energy, strong defense, and overwhelming work on the glass.
According to head coach Micah Richey, Warren’s intensity and rebounding were the difference in the title game. The Junior Jacks controlled the boards 42–23, a margin that set the tone from the opening tip.
“We played with a lot of energy and dominated on the boards,” Richey said.
Warren built a steady lead throughout the contest, winning each of the first three quarters before the final frame ended in a 6–6 tie.
The Junior Jacks’ balanced effort was supported by standout production from several players. B. Nelson led Warren with 23 points, going 8-for-11 from the field and 5-for-11 at the line while adding eight rebounds, three steals, and two assists. J. Hines finished with 12 points and eight rebounds, and S. Ballentine added 5 points, five rebounds, and two assists.
Warren’s defense applied consistent pressure, forcing Drew Central into 21 turnovers. The Junior Jacks also capitalized on second-chance opportunities, collecting 15 offensive rebounds.
With the win, Warren closed out the week with a championship title, back-to-back victories, and a growing identity built on defensive effort and physical play inside.
