HERMITAGE, Ark.— The Hermitage boys basketball team turned in a strong showing at the Westside Christian Tournament, finishing as tournament runner-up after a narrow 49-47 loss to Claiborne Academy in the championship game.
The Hermits battled throughout the tournament and carried that momentum into the title matchup, where they came up just short in a closely contested final. Hermitage’s effort was marked by consistent teamwork, defensive intensity and determination, keeping the game within reach until the final moments.
The runner-up finish capped a solid tournament run for the Hermits, who demonstrated growth and competitiveness against quality opposition over the course of the event.
