Jr. Jacks storm back late to edge Camden 46–42

CAMDEN, Ark. – The Warren Jr. Jack boys basketball team rallied from a double-digit deficit on the road last Thursday, using a clutch final-minute surge to defeat Camden 46–42.

After scoring just three points in the second quarter, Warren trailed by 10 but stayed composed and battled back in the second half.

In the final minute, Jaysiah Rhodes stepped to the line and sank two crucial free throws to tie the game. Following a major defensive stop, Bentley Nelson drove in for a reverse layup to give the Jr. Jacks the lead. In the closing moments, a joint effort from Scout Ballentine and Jakobe Avery produced a steal out of Warren’s press, leading to another layup at the buzzer to push the margin to four.

Nelson led Warren with 16 points, six rebounds, three steals and one block. Jeremiah Hines added nine points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

The Jr. Jacks are in the middle of a busy stretch, traveling to Woodlawn tonight before returning home Tuesday to face Fordyce and again Thursday to host Hampton.
