WARREN, Ark. — Dec. 16, 2025 — The Warren Lady Jacks have shown all season they can win in different ways. On Thursday night, they added another entry to that list.

Behind composure at the free-throw line and a balanced scoring effort, Warren outlasted McGehee 45-41 in overtime, pushing its record to 10-1 in a game that felt tight from the opening tip to the final horn.
The Lady Jacks didn’t ease into the night. McGehee controlled the early tempo and opened with a 7-0 run, building a 10-4 first-quarter lead. Warren stayed connected thanks to Bayleigh Miller, who scored seven of her 11 points in the opening period, mixing a three-pointer with steady trips to the free-throw line to keep the Lady Jacks within one at the end of the quarter.
The second quarter marked Warren’s first real stretch of rhythm. Breize Fellows drilled a three to knot the game at 14-14, and Alyssa Calbert followed with a perfect look from deep as Warren edged ahead. By halftime, the Lady Jacks had turned early adversity into a 19-16 lead, leaning on defensive rebounds and timely shooting rather than pace.
Warren’s best run came after the break. Charlee Wardlaw opened the third quarter with a three-pointer to reclaim the lead, and Fellows followed with another deep shot as part of a five-point quarter. The Lady Jacks briefly created separation, stretching the margin to 29-22 entering the fourth.

McGehee, though, refused to fade. The Lady Owls chipped away possession by possession, forcing turnovers and converting enough second chances to erase the deficit. The comeback culminated in a buzzer-beating basket at the end of regulation that tied the game at 37-37 and sent it to overtime.
That’s where Warren’s poise showed. In the extra period, the Lady Jacks went to the line and didn’t blink. Calbert hit three of four free throws, Fellows calmly knocked down both of hers, and Warren closed the door by making the majority of its points at the stripe in overtime.
Fellows led Warren with 12 points, hitting two three-pointers and adding the overtime free throws that sealed it. Miller finished with 11 points and was flawless at the line (4-for-4). Lillian McKinney contributed seven points and key rebounds, Calbert added six with a perfect night from beyond the arc, and Wardlaw chipped in five on efficient shooting.
It wasn’t the cleanest win of the season. It might have been one of the most telling.
In a game defined by swings, missed shots, and a dramatic buzzer-beater, Warren leaned on depth, discipline, and late-game execution — the kind of formula that tends to matter most as the season moves forward.
