MONTICELLO — The Warren Lady Jacks opened play in the Drew Central Holiday Tournament with a convincing 62–36 victory over the Junction City Lady Dragons on Friday, improving their record to 14–1 on the season.

The game began as a competitive back-and-forth contest in the first quarter, with four lead changes early on. Junction City struck first to take a 2–0 lead, but Bayleigh Miller quickly responded with back-to-back field goals to put Warren in front, 5–2. The Lady Dragons briefly regained the lead before Miller’s steady scoring helped Warren edge ahead 11–9 by the end of the opening period.
Warren began to gain separation in the second quarter, using balanced scoring and improved defensive pressure to extend the lead. Livi McKinney scored six points in the period as the Lady Jacks outscored Junction City and carried a 28–17 advantage into halftime.
The game swung decisively in Warren’s favor in the third quarter. The Lady Jacks surged offensively while continuing to limit Junction City’s scoring opportunities. Alyssa Calbert provided a key spark, knocking down consecutive three-pointers and scoring six straight points as Warren pushed the margin to 49–30 heading into the final quarter.
Warren continued to control the game in the fourth quarter, with Charlee Wardlaw scoring six consecutive points to help close out the victory and prevent any Junction City rally.
Miller led all scorers with 14 points on 6-of-15 shooting, including a perfect 2-of-2 effort from the free-throw line. McKinney followed with 11 points on an efficient 5-of-9 shooting night. Wardlaw and Calbert each added 10 points, with Calbert connecting on two three-pointers and going 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. Brieze Fellows chipped in nine points on 4-of-8 shooting.
Warren finished the game shooting 24-of-58 from the field and held Junction City to just 12 made field goals, turning in a complete performance on both ends of the floor in the tournament opener.
