HERMITAGE, Ark. – The Sam Clanton Memorial Foundation will host the 5th Annual Sam Clanton Memorial Hog Hunt on February 6–8, 2026, bringing teams from across the region together for a competitive weekend that supports scholarships and charitable assistance.
The event will begin at 1:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, and conclude with weigh-in at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8. Teams of four may enter, with an entry fee of $300 per team. An additional $50 per side pot is available, and all entry fees are due by 5:00 p.m. on January 30.
The main pot will award buckles to the teams with the heaviest three-hog stringer, with barr hogs allowed. Several side pots will also be offered, including biggest hog, biggest teeth, and longest stringer, which pays out 75 percent of the pot.
Weigh-in will take place at the Clanton Farms Shed, located at 520 E. 4th Street in Hermitage. Dogs and knives only will be permitted, and hogs must be field dressed at weigh-in. An annual dog food raffle will also be held during the weigh-in.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Sam Clanton Memorial Foundation. The foundation was established in memory of Sam Clanton, a Hermitage farmer and avid hunter who passed away in 2020 at the age of 44. The foundation provides an annual scholarship to a Hermitage High School senior and helps financially sponsor individuals who cannot afford substance abuse rehabilitation at Ouachita Medical Center in Camden.
