WARREN, Ark. — Bradley County officials are urging residents to stay off the roads as winter weather conditions continue to worsen across the county, prompting safety concerns and the closure of county offices.
In a road report shared Sunday morning by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, officials said a second wave of the winter storm overnight left roads in far worse condition than Saturday. Many roadways are now covered in loose sleet, making travel extremely slick and hazardous.
The sheriff’s office urged residents to remain at home and limit travel to essential situations only, warning that conditions continue to deteriorate.
That message was echoed later Sunday by Klay McKinney, who described road conditions as “treacherous” and said they are much worse than the previous day. McKinney urged residents to stay home if they do not absolutely need to be out.
Due to the ongoing weather conditions, county officials announced that the Bradley County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, January 26. Residents are encouraged to remain indoors, stay warm, and continue monitoring updates from local authorities as hazardous conditions persist across Bradley County.
