WARREN, Ark. — The First Baptist Church of Warren will host a multi-month book club this spring inviting participants to examine the claims of Christianity using investigative reasoning, similar to how a cold-case detective evaluates evidence.

The “Fact or Fable” Book Club will center on the book Cold-Case Christianity by former homicide detective J. Warner Wallace. The study explores the historical claims of the Gospels by applying abductive reasoning — a method commonly used in criminal investigations to determine the most reasonable explanation based on available evidence.

According to organizers, participants will analyze Christianity through the eyes of a detective, learning how investigative techniques can be applied to questions of faith and the reliability of the Gospel accounts.

Meetings are scheduled for four Mondays: Feb. 3, March 3, April 7 and May 5. Each session will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Warren Public Library.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP through First Baptist Church of Warren by calling (870) 226-5884.
