Hermitage School District closed Tuesday due to ice and freezing conditions

HERMITAGE, Ark. – The Hermitage School District will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, due to freezing temperatures and ice creating unsafe road and facility conditions.

According to the district, the decision was made with safety as the top priority for students, staff, and families. District officials stated that conditions will continue to be monitored, and updates will be provided regarding when school may safely resume.

Superintendent LaDonna Spain encouraged families to remain safe and warm during the ongoing winter weather.
