Despite the setback, Warren’s effort, intensity, and refusal to back down were evident throughout all four quarters, particularly late in the game when the Lumberjacks continued to pressure Bauxite and search for ways to close the gap.

Warren opened the night with confidence, as Bleyze Fellows and Kaystean Jacobs sparked an early 10-4 run. Jacobs connected on a three-pointer while Fellows established himself inside, setting the tone for an aggressive start. Bauxite responded with a run of its own to even the score at 10-10, beginning a back-and-forth battle that never lacked energy.

The second quarter belonged to Colton Steen, who scored seven straight points to give Warren an 18-12 advantage. His scoring burst lifted the Lumberjacks and kept the home crowd engaged, but Bauxite answered before halftime to take a 22-18 lead into the break.

Warren continued to fight in the third quarter behind Fellows, who poured in seven points in the period and helped erase the deficit. The Lumberjacks tied the game at 31-31, showing poise and resilience against a physical Bauxite squad.

In the fourth quarter, Warren remained relentless. Even as Bauxite gained a small cushion late, the Lumberjacks stayed aggressive on both ends of the floor, battling for rebounds, contesting shots, and refusing to let the game slip away without a fight.

Fellows led all scorers with 16 points, consistently converting near the basket and anchoring Warren’s offense. Colton Steen added 11 points, while Josiah Steen contributed eight points and steady play throughout the contest. Jacobs finished with five points, and several Lumberjacks made key hustle plays that helped keep the game within reach.

The loss moves Warren to 1-10 on the season, but Friday night’s performance reflected growth, resilience, and belief. The Lumberjacks will be off until January 16, when they return to Lumberjack Arena to host Watson Chapel in their conference opener.
