WARREN, Ark. — A Martin Luther King Jr. Banquet honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at 4 p.m. at St. James AME Church in Warren.
The event’s theme is “Remembering His Words,” drawn from Amos 5:24: “But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”
Guest speaker for the evening will be Pastor Denzel Brown of Trinity Full Gospel Church in Monticello. The program will also feature music by the Trinity Full Gospel Choir.
Tickets for the banquet are $20.
The event leadership includes the Rt. Rev. Dr. Silvester Beaman, presiding prelate; the Rev. Angela Brewster, presiding elder; and the Rev. Dr. Kurbe L. Newsom, pastor. Additional leadership includes Mrs. Sabrena Newsom, first lady and consultant; Sister Chanel Hooper, committee chair; and Brother Everett Wallace, co-chair.
The banquet will take place at St. James AME Church, located at 915 St. James Street in Warren. The event will also be streamed live on Facebook.
