WARREN, Ark. – For a quarter and a half Tuesday night at Lumberjack Arena, Warren looked like a team finding its footing. The Lumberjacks traded punches with Arkadelphia early, briefly took the lead in the second quarter, and competed possession by possession before the Badgers’ depth and consistency created separation in the second half of a 45–26 final.

Warren’s start was encouraging. Bleyze Fellows opened the scoring to tie the game at 2–2, and the Lumberjacks stayed within striking distance throughout the first quarter behind disciplined defense and timely shot-making. Fellows and Tayshawn Edwards helped keep the game tight at 10–8, setting the tone for a competitive opening stretch.
The Lumberjacks played their best basketball early in the second quarter. A short run pushed Warren in front 15–13, fueled by Fellows’ ability to draw contact and finish through pressure, along with steady interior play from Colton Steen. For a moment, Warren dictated pace and forced Arkadelphia to work for every possession.

That margin proved difficult to sustain. Arkadelphia gradually gained control as the game wore on, limiting Warren’s scoring opportunities in the second half while capitalizing on second-chance points and defensive stops. Still, the Lumberjacks continued to compete, rotating players and leaning into defensive effort as they searched for offense.
Fellows led Warren with 12 points, consistently attacking and shouldering the offensive load while also contributing on the boards. Steen followed with 8 points and a strong presence inside, and Josiah Steen and Edwards rounded out the scoring. While the result moved Warren to 1–9 on the season, the early stretches of Tuesday’s game reflected progress — a team continuing to learn how to sustain execution over four quarters.
