MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Warren Lady Jacks, led by head coach Mary Beth Grant, added another major milestone to an already historic season Tuesday night, powering past Monticello 70-59 on the road to secure their second conference win over the Lady Billies and improve to 26-2 overall and a perfect 9-0 in 8-4A Conference play.

With the victory, Warren completes the regular-season sweep of Monticello and continues what is shaping up to be one of the most memorable campaigns for a Lady Jacks team since the early 1990s. The Lady Jacks have already clinched the 2026 8-4A Conference Championship, and Tuesday’s win only reinforced why they sit atop the league.

This one didn’t come easy early.

Monticello jumped out to a quick 5-4 lead in a tightly contested opening quarter, but Warren responded with poise. Bayleigh Miller calmly knocked down free throws to tie the game and give the Lady Jacks the lead for good. From there, Miller ignited. She poured in 10 first-quarter points, including a pair of three-pointers, to push Warren ahead 19-14.

In the second quarter, Charlee Wardlaw took her turn in the spotlight. Wardlaw scored eight consecutive points, drilling two three-pointers in the process, to extend the Warren lead to 24-14. The Lady Jacks’ balanced attack and defensive intensity began to wear on the Lady Billies, and Warren carried control into the locker room.

The second half belonged to Warren’s dynamic duo.

Miller and Livi McKinney took over in the third quarter, methodically building the advantage to as many as 13 points. Miller finished with a game-high 27 points and was flawless at the free-throw line, while McKinney added 17 points and consistently delivered in key moments.

Wardlaw added 10 points, while Breize Fellows contributed 7 and Alyssa Calbert chipped in 5. The depth of the Lady Jacks once again proved critical, with key contributions coming from multiple players throughout the night  .

Breize Fellows posted 7 points vs. Monticello Tuesday.

Monticello made one final push in the fourth quarter, scoring eight straight points to trim the deficit and bring the home crowd back into it. But championship-caliber teams respond — and Warren did exactly that. Fellows and Calbert hit timely baskets down the stretch, and Wardlaw delivered the exclamation point to seal the 11-point road win.

The win marks Warren’s second victory over Monticello in conference play this season, completing the double over the Lady Billies and further cementing the Lady Jacks’ dominance in the 8-4A.

At 26-2 overall, this squad has carved out a place in program history. Few Lady Jacks teams have reached this level of sustained excellence since the early 1990s, and with the postseason looming, Warren continues to build momentum at exactly the right time.

The Lady Jacks will close out the regular season Thursday night at Lumberjack Arena against Hamburg before turning their full attention to postseason play.
