Woodlawn Cubing Team Wins SEARK Competition; Reed Takes Top Individual Honor

MONTICELLO – The Woodlawn Cubing Team claimed first place Friday morning at the SEARK Education Cooperative Rubik’s Cubing Competition in Monticello, turning in an impressive team performance against regional competitors.

According to the Woodlawn School District, the team solved 25 cubes in 4 minutes and 34 seconds to secure the top overall finish in the event.

In addition to the team victory, Woodlawn’s Brantley Reed earned first place in the elementary individual competition. Reed posted a winning time of 1 minute and 13 seconds.

The SEARK competition brought together student cubers from across the region to test their speed and problem-solving skills in timed events. Woodlawn’s strong showing highlighted both individual talent and teamwork in the fast-paced competition.

School officials congratulated the students on their achievement and celebrated their hard work and preparation leading up to the event.
