Caritina Zendejas was born on October 15, 1937, in Las Canoas in the state of Michoacán, Mexico. She was a resident of Warren, Arkansas, where she passed away peacefully at her home on March 9, 2026.
She was a devoted homemaker throughout her life and was always by the side of her family. For many years she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Warren, Arkansas. One of her favorite pastimes was caring for her beautiful garden, which she always kept full of plants and flowers. She was also an excellent cook, leaving behind a treasured legacy and a long list of authentic and delicious Mexican recipes that will be enjoyed by her family for generations. She had a deep passion for reading the Bible as part of her spiritual growth and participated in missionary trips to Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul; her son, Rodrigo (Erma) Zendejas; and her grandson, Oscar Mendiola. She is survived by her children: Lupe (Lourdes) Zendejas of Fountain Hill, Arkansas; Martha (Perfecto) Mendiola of Warren, Arkansas; Jose (Nancy) Zendejas of Fountain Hill, Arkansas; Arnulfo Zendejas of Brandon, Mississippi; Patricia (Armando) Suarez of Mexico; Laura (Antonio) Barajas of Warren, Arkansas; Carmen (Michael) Fair of Monticello, Arkansas; and Ericka Densmore of Warren, Arkansas, Brothers: Benito Martinez of Michoacán, Mexico; Jose Martinez of San Bernardino, CA; and Cecilio Martínez of Gridley, CA.
She is also lovingly remembered by 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held 2:00 pm, Sunday March 15, at First Baptist Church of Warren. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
Caritina Zendejas nació el 15 de octubre de 1937 en Las Canoas, en el estado de Michoacán, México. Fue residente de Warren, Arkansas, donde falleció pacíficamente en su hogar el 9 de marzo de 2026.
Fue una dedicada ama de casa durante toda su vida, siempre al lado de su familia. Por muchos años fue fiel miembro de la Primera Iglesia Bautista de Warren, Arkansas. Entre sus pasatiempos favoritos estaba el cuidado de su hermoso jardín, el cual siempre mantenía lleno de plantas y flores. También fue una excelente cocinera, dejando como herencia una larga lista de recetas mexicanas auténticas y muy deliciosas que serán apreciadas por su familia por generaciones.
Siempre tuvo una gran pasión por la lectura de la Biblia como parte de su crecimiento espiritual y participó en viajes misioneros a México. Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Raúl; su hijo, Rodrigo (Erma) Zendejas; y su nieto, Oscar Mendiola.
Le sobreviven sus hijos: Lupe (Lourdes) Zendejas de Fountain Hill, Arkansas; Martha (Perfecto) Mendiola de Warren, Arkansas; José (Nancy) Zendejas de Fountain Hill, Arkansas; Arnulfo Zendejas de Brandon, Mississippi; Patricia (Armando) Suárez de México; Laura (Antonio) Barajas de Warren, Arkansas; Carmen (Michael) Fair de Monticello, Arkansas; y Ericka Densmore de Warren, Arkansas.
