McGEHEE Ark. (3-23-26) — Joe Don Greenwood of Hermitage has been named a 2026 inductee into the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) Agriculture Hall of Fame, according to a recent announcement from the UAM College of Forestry, Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Greenwood was recognized during the 5th Annual UAM Ag Alumni Banquet, held March 7 at the McGehee Men’s Club. The event brought together alumni and former professors for an evening of fellowship, a steak dinner, and live entertainment.

According to UAM, Greenwood was inducted in recognition of his outstanding contributions to agriculture and his dedication to educating and supporting future generations in the field.

The banquet also included program updates from university leadership and fundraising efforts through a silent auction, live auction, and raffle, all benefiting student scholarships and the continued growth of UAM’s agriculture programs.

Greenwood, a longtime resident of Hermitage in Bradley County, joins a distinguished group of individuals whose work has had a lasting impact on agriculture in Arkansas and beyond.

Also inducted into the UAM Agriculture Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class was Dr. A. Edwin Colburn.
