Lady Jacks Come Up Short Against Bryant

BRYANT, Ark. — The Warren Lady Jacks opened the season with a 5-1 loss to Bryant on Thursday.

Bryant took the early lead in the bottom of the first inning when a Lady Jacks error allowed the Hornets to get on the board.

Warren answered in the top of the second inning. Bryant committed an error that helped the Lady Jacks tie the game at 1-1.

The Hornets regained control in the bottom of the second, scoring two runs to take a 3-1 lead. Bryant later added two more runs to extend the advantage to 5-1.

Brooklyne McVay started in the circle for Warren. She allowed 11 hits and five runs, three of them earned, over six innings while walking none.

Natalie Hargrave led the Lady Jacks at the plate, going 1-for-2.
