Lady Jacks Softball Drops Weather-Shortened Game to Woodlawn

WOODLAWN, Ark. — The Warren Lady Jacks dropped their second straight game Friday, falling to the Woodlawn Lady Bears 11-10 after a thunderstorm ended the contest in the seventh inning.

Warren jumped out to a quick lead, scoring seven runs in the first two innings. The Lady Bears, however, managed to hang around through the first five innings.

The Lady Jacks held a 10-7 advantage going into the bottom of the sixth inning, but Woodlawn responded with four runs to take an 11-10 lead.

As Warren came to bat in the top of the seventh inning, a thunderstorm moved into the area and ended the game.

The Lady Jacks were led offensively by Rayleigh Milton, who went 2-for-2 at the plate. Natalie Hargrave went 3-for-4, while Haven Johnson finished 2-for-3 with a home run. Brooklyn McVay went 1-for-2.

Ember Johnson, Charlee Wardlaw, and Bayleigh Miller each went 2-for-4, and Breize Fellows finished 1-for-3.

Warren will travel to Beebe on Monday before hosting McGehee on Tuesday.
