Lawrence Howard Boswell Jr., 1952–2026

Lawrence Howard Boswell Jr., 73, of Warren, passed away February 26, 2026. Born December 13, 1952, to Lawrence Sr. and Betty Ruth Dunlap Boswell. He received Christ at an early age and was a member of St. John AME Church in Warren.

He was a graduate of Warren High School. Upon transitioning from the US Air Force, he retired as a Captain in the US Army Reserve. He later started to work at Potlatch Corp. in Warren.

Lawrence loved to play his saxophone, shoot pool and ride his motorcycle. He was a member of the Wolf Pack Motorcycle Club in Warren; a club that rides and also does a lot of great things in the community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Betty Boswell.

He is survived by a son, Jomone of Stockbridge, GA.; a daughter, Sheroca of Arlington, TX.; two brothers, Tommy Ray, Dwight (Mary) Boswell both of Warren, AR; two sisters, Faye (Gerald) of Warren, AR, Marylan of Monticello, AR.; grandson, B.J. of Shreveport, LA., three special bonus sons, Anthony Ross, Eliguish Cooper, Chris Cooper all of Little Rock, AR.; a special niece, Patrice Boswell of Warren, AR.; special sister, Mary Jo Wiley of Warren, AR; a good friend & riding buddy, Bernard Rogers of Warren, AR.; a great brother-in-law, Gerald Thompson; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was March 7 at St. John AME Church in Warren, AR. with Presiding Elder Kent J. Broughton officiating and Rev. Jonas Williams III pastor. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Warren, AR. with Military Honors. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
