Lumberjacks Shut Out Bearden 11-0

BEARDEN, Ark. (3/17/26) – The Warren High School baseball team won its first game of the 2026 campaign with an 11-0 victory at Bearden in six innings Tuesday evening.

The Lumberjacks are now 1-4 on the season, while the Bears fell to 3-3. Warren outhit Bearden 14-3, while pitchers Ryan Spears and Ren Reep kept the Bears off the scoreboard for all six innings.

The Orange and Black plated one run in the top of the first before RBI singles by Jackson Denton and Spears pushed the score to 3-0 in the top of the third. The Jacks tacked on another run in the top of the fourth for a 4-0 edge before combining for seven runs over the fifth and sixth innings to put the game out of reach.

Reep drove in two runs in the fifth inning, while Parker O’Neal scored on a passed ball for a 7-0 lead. Ty Hembree drove in the first run of the sixth inning with a single to make the tally 8-0 before Aceen Jurado doubled him home for a 9-0 advantage. The final two runs of the contest scored on a single by Tucker McDiarmid. Bearden had a runner reach on an error in the bottom of the sixth with one out, but a strikeout and groundout sealed the 11-0 victory for the Jacks.

McDiarmid led the team with a 4-for-4 effort at the plate and three RBIs along with two runs scored and a walk. O’Neal and Logan Case registered two hits apiece, while six others in the lineup picked up a hit. Spears totaled four innings on the mound and struck out seven with only one walk and three hits allowed. Reep threw two hitless innings to close out the game with three punchouts and one walk.

The Lumberjacks are scheduled to open 4A-8 conference play on Thursday at home against Watson Chapel. First pitch against the Wildcats at the Warren City Complex is set for 5:00 p.m.
