Marquez scores twice as Warren opens season with 3-2 road win over Morrilton

MORRILTON, Ark. — The Warren Lumberjacks varsity boys soccer team opened the 2026 season with a 3-2 victory on the road against the Morrilton Devil Dogs.

Warren struck first when De’Sean Adams scored the Lumberjacks’ opening goal of the season on an assist from JaCarlos Marquez.

Marquez later added a goal of his own off an assist from Noah Romero to extend Warren’s scoring effort.

He then scored his second goal of the match later in the game, giving the Lumberjacks their third goal and helping secure the win.

With the victory, Warren improves to 1-0 on the season.

The Lumberjacks will return to action Friday, March 6 when they host Little Rock Southwest at Jim Hurley, Jr. Stadium.
