WARREN, Ark. — Residents gathered Friday afternoon in Warren to observe Arbor Day with a community tree planting at First Presbyterian Church.
The event, held at 1:30 p.m., brought together families, children, and local residents to take part in planting a tree on the church grounds.
The event was led by the Warren Woman’s Club, with member Jonalyn Reep helping organize the program and guide participants through the ceremony.
Mayor Gregg Reep made an official Arbor Day proclamation during the event, recognizing the importance of trees and encouraging continued conservation efforts in the community.

Children played a hands-on role in the planting, assisting with placing soil around the tree while attendees looked on.
Arbor Day, observed each year in April, encourages communities to plant and care for trees as a way to support the environment.
Organizers said they hope the newly planted tree will serve as a lasting reminder of the importance of conservation in the community.
