NEW EDINBURG — 4-10-26 — A community-driven cleanup effort is continuing in New Edinburg, with organizers calling on residents to take an active role in improving their surroundings.

According to a post from the Facebook page Re-New-ing Edinburg, volunteers are being asked to clean up a half-mile stretch in front of their own property as part of the ongoing Great American Cleanup initiative.

Organizers say free garbage bags are available for those willing to help. Residents interested in volunteering can message the group directly, and supplies will be delivered. T-shirts may also be provided while supplies last.

The effort is part of a broader push to keep the New Edinburg community clean and attractive. Photos shared by the group show significant amounts of litter already collected, including cans and other roadside debris.

Community members interested in participating can visit the group’s page at https://www.facebook.com/RENEWINGEDINBURG to sign up or request supplies.
