HERMITAGE — Hermitage High School juniors and seniors recently participated in the Be Pro Be Proud Draft Day held in El Dorado on March 31, gaining hands-on exposure to career opportunities in skilled trades.

According to a post from Hermitage School District, ten seniors took part in on-site interviews with area industries during the event. As a result of those interviews, five students were recommended to apply online, and one student advanced further by earning a second interview.

The Be Pro Be Proud initiative is designed to connect students with high-demand career pathways by providing direct interaction with employers and industry representatives.

School officials noted they were proud of the students for representing Hermitage High School and taking steps toward their future careers.
