James Gregory Johnson, 1965-2026

James Gregory Johnson, age 60 of Ingalls, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, peacefully at his home. He was born March 23, 1965, in Warren to the late James Ronnie Johnson and Judy Hamilton Johnson, of Ingalls.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, James Martin Johnson and Ella Johnson of Ingalls and George Louis Hamilton and Myrtie Marie Childers Hamilton of the Sumpter Community.

Greg was a dedicated truck driver who spent many years on the road and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church in Ingalls. He was known for his easy going nature and quiet strength. Through life’s ups and downs, Greg remained steadfast and a dependable presence to those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Haynes Johnson of Old Union; his brother, Jason Martin Johnson (Cara) of Hot Springs; and his sister, Rhonda Lynn Chambliss (Andy) of Hampton. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held at 6:30 p.m. with a memorial service following at 7:00 p.m. on April 21, 2026, at Union Hill Baptist Church in Ingalls.

Greg will be remembered for his devotion to his family, and the simple, steady life he lived. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
