Lady Jacks Rally Past Crossett, Improve to 7-1 in Conference

CROSSETT, Ark. – The Warren Lady Jacks used a big fifth inning to regain control and pull away for a 7-3 conference win over Crossett on the road in 8AAAA play.

Warren struck first in the opening inning, taking a 1-0 lead on a double by Ember Johnson that brought home Bayleigh Miller. The Lady Jacks backed it up defensively, holding Crossett scoreless in the bottom half of the inning.

The score remained 1-0 until the top of the fourth, when Warren manufactured another run using small ball to extend the lead to 2-0.

Crossett responded in the bottom of the fourth, scoring three runs to take its first lead of the game at 3-2.

The Lady Jacks answered immediately in the fifth inning. Warren plated four runs to reclaim the lead at 6-3, highlighted by a three-run home run from Ember Johnson.

Warren added an insurance run in the top of the seventh inning and then closed the door defensively, holding Crossett scoreless in the bottom half to secure the 7-3 victory.

Ember Johnson led the Lady Jacks at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a home run—her fourth of the season. Haven Johnson finished 3-for-4, while Natalie Hargrave went 2-for-3. Bayleigh Miller, Charlee Wardlaw, and Breize Fellows each went 1-for-3. Raeleigh Milton and Blythe Callaway were each 1-for-4.

With the win, the Lady Jacks improve to 13-7 overall and 7-1 in conference play.
