McGehee Juvenile Arrested in Connection with False Gun Threat at Warren Schools

WARREN, Ark. — A juvenile has been arrested following an investigation into a reported gun threat that prompted a lockdown at Warren schools earlier this month.

According to information released by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began on Friday, April 10, 2026, when the Warren School District contacted both the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office and the Warren Police Department regarding a phone call reporting a gun on campus. School officials immediately placed the campus on lockdown while law enforcement conducted a thorough search. Authorities reported that no firearms were found.

Following what officials described as a “lengthy investigation,” deputies arrested a juvenile from the McGehee School District on Wednesday, April 15. The juvenile has been charged with communicating a false alarm and is currently being held at the Jack Jones Juvenile Detention Facility.

The juvenile is scheduled to make a first court appearance on Friday, April 17, before Theresa French, who serves as the juvenile judge for the 10th Judicial District.

“The Bradley County Sheriff’s Department and Warren Police Department were contacted by the Warren School district on Friday April 10th, 2026, reference a phone call reporting a gun on campus. The Warren School District was placed on lockdown, and a thorough search was conducted and there were no firearms located on campus. The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office and Warren School District take these calls serious and the safety of all students and staff are our top priority. After a lengthy investigation, on Wednesday April 15th, 2026, Deputies arrested a Juvenile from the McGehee School district and charged them with Communicating a False Alarm. The Juvenile is being held at Jack Jones Juvenile Detention Facility in Pine Bluff and will have a first appearance on Friday April 17th before the Honorable Judge Theresa French who is the juvenile judge for the 10th Judicial District.”
