MORO BAY, Ark. — Members of Boy Scout Troop 67 of Monticello recently took part in the Spring Camporee 2026 held at Moro Bay State Park, joining fellow scouts for a weekend of outdoor activities, teamwork, and skill-building.
According to a social media post shared by the troop, the group arrived early and quickly got to work setting up camp, preparing breakfast, and completing cleanup tasks. By Saturday morning, the troop reported they were “ready for a full day” of events and activities.
Photos from the outing show scouts and leaders gathered in uniform, as well as scenes of tents set up across the campground and open field areas of the park. The images highlight both the preparation and camaraderie involved in the event, with participants working together to establish their campsite and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Spring Camporee events typically bring together scout troops from across the region, offering opportunities for outdoor education, leadership development, and fellowship. Activities often include camping, cooking, and various skill-based challenges designed to reinforce scouting principles.
Troop 67’s participation reflects continued engagement in scouting programs and community-based outdoor experiences for youth in the Monticello area.
In addition to their participation, the troop earned recognition during the event, finishing second in Pioneering skills competition.
