Rain Can’t Stop Turnout at Community Easter Egg Hunt in Warren

WARREN, Ark. — Despite a rainy forecast and periodic showers throughout the morning, the community-wide Easter Egg Hunt in Warren drew a strong crowd Saturday, with an estimated hundred to a couple hundred people turning out at Warren City Park.

The event, hosted by the Bradley County Chamber of Commerce, had been adjusted earlier in the week due to expected weather. Bounce houses and several additional activities were canceled ahead of time, but organizers moved forward with the egg hunt itself as planned.

Those concerns about the weather didn’t appear to slow attendance.

Families from across the area showed up prepared for wet conditions, lining the park as children eagerly waited for their turn to hunt eggs. Even as light rain moved through at times, participants remained, and the event carried on without major disruption.

Children spread out across the designated areas, quickly gathering eggs while parents watched on, many with umbrellas in hand. The turnout reflected strong community support and a willingness to embrace less-than-ideal conditions for the sake of the annual tradition.

Originally scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon for children ages 0–11, the hunt continued as planned and delivered a successful event despite the weather challenges.

In the end, what could have been a washout instead turned into a well-attended morning at the park, showing that a little rain wasn’t enough to keep Warren families away from one of the community’s favorite Easter activities.
